Guam Women’s Club Membership Responsibilities Approved by consensus at the June 19, 2006 Executive Council meeting of the Guam Women’s Club
The Guam Women’s Club is the oldest women’s civic organization on Guam. Formally established in 1952 by a group of 25 women dedicated to improving the general welfare of Guam’s residents, the Club was incorporated to:
Investigate, discuss, and seek improvement of conditions within the Territory of Guam which affect the general welfare, education, and health of the population;
Engage in research on local, Pacific-Asiatic and World problems;
Lend support to other civic and service organizations in their efforts to better local conditions;
Extend the public benefits phases of the Club’s program to as many persons as possible;
Engage in fundraising activities for the purposes of securing funds to be used for public benefit programs
Every Guam Women’s Club member is expected to:
Participate in monthly general membership meetings when on-island;
Serve actively on at least one committee;
Serve as a Guam Women’s Club advocate at every opportunity
Pay annual dues of $40 each fiscal year (June 1- May 31st)
Support the annual Mardi Gras event to build the Scholarship Fund
Make every effort to volunteer to assist in at least two special projects or fundraising endeavors annually
Agree to make the Guam Women’s Club a priority for your time, energy, and philanthropic efforts
