The Guam Women's Club has been raising funds for the betterment of the island community since it's inception. Prior to the establishment of the GWC Philanthropic Fund in 2007, the GWC annually selected particular causes and organizations to fund with the monies raised from their fundraising activities. In order to serve the community better, the Philanthropic Fund was established to allow community groups to apply for funding for projects and other uses for their particular cause. This was the Club's way of "spreading the wealth" so to speak. This also allowed the Club to meet one of it's primary goals of lending "support to other civic and service organizations in their efforts to better local conditions."
